You call me and I don't want to answer, what does that make me
I don't want to know what you have got to say about me
If only you could see on the other side of me is a cup of cheap whiskey
Why am I alive, why am i thriving?
I'm 23 now but I'm a bigger failure than when I was 18
Those were the days when I could meet a mom and get shots poured for me.
But now I'm wiser so they say, too bad I'm making the same mistakes.
I don't want to walk downstairs to walk into everybody's stares.
I laugh it off and try to act like I am over it, it's just that I never wanted to leave.
But I've dug a hole and it feels like I will never get out, but that's ok with me.
Because maybe it's misery that makes me move on and turn a brand new leaf.
